- Determination of initial forging temperature
To determine the initial forging temperature of steel, it is necessary to ensure that the steel is not over burned. In addition, factors such as blank structure, forging method and deformation process should also be considered. For example, when ingots are used as billets, the trend of over combustion is small because the as cast structure is relatively stable. Therefore, the initial forging temperature of the ingot is 20-50 ° C higher than that of the same billet and steel. When high-speed hammer precision forging is used, because high-speed deformation will produce great thermal effect, the temperature of blank will rise and cause excessive combustion. Therefore, the initial forging temperature should be about 10 ° C lower than the normal initial forging temperature.
II. Determination of final forging temperature
When determining the terminal forging temperature, it is necessary to ensure that the steel has sufficient plasticity before terminal forging, and make the forging obtain good microstructure and properties. Therefore, the terminal temperature of steel should be higher than the recrystallization temperature to ensure complete recrystallization after forging, so that fine grain structure can be obtained by forging. The forging temperature range of various steels varies greatly. Generally, the forging temperature range of carbon steel is wide, up to 400 ~ 580 ° C.
